The Parisian GR - hiking trails in Paris !!! The GR 1 from the Boulogne's wood to the Vincennes's wood crosses beautiful Paris. Auteuil, Passy, Invalides, Luxemburg then nice corners of the Latin district and the mountain Sainte-Genevieve. It's beautiful. The North-south vertical line. Departure of Villette. Arrived at the international University campus. On the route, the Saint Louis hospital, the Carnavalet museum,Notre-Dame, the Pantheon, the factory of Gobelins... And in the course, the discovery of districts : Buttes-Chaumont, canal Saint Martin, Butte-aux-Cailles... Crossed n ° 1: departure subway Porte Maillot, arrival subway Porte de Charenton. Crossed n ° 2: departure subway Porte-de-la-Villette, arrival RER CITE-UNIVERSITAIRE.

The catacombs Paris is full of old underground quarries used to built the house in the 11-15th century. A small part of these quarries have been used to empty the cemeteries in the 18th century.
