After visiting the stunning impact site at Meteor Crater (see my Arizona page), I couldn't miss the chance to visit the tiny Bavarian village of Nördlingen, which lies in the middle of a much bigger, truly gigantic impact site, from a much more ancient era, some 15 million years ago... The view here is from the church tower in the town center... look out to the horizon and you can make out the edge of the crater. |

Rhondaj Tue May 5, 2009 14:13 UTC Interesting page! :-) | we2364 Sun Apr 6, 2008 14:47 UTC My fan, you should find the complete update of all magical encounters and tell ^_*! | kschatterbox Wed Apr 11, 2007 12:51 UTC Nordlingen Looks like a great place to visit. Its sad to see the graffiti on The Church Tower, you would think they want to clean it up! Would love to see the Rieskrater Museum. Great page you have here :) | andal13 Thu Feb 12, 2004 19:54 UTC Very curious place... a town inside a crater! Where does NOT live a human being? |
