Located on the south side of Delhi, Baha'i Lotus Temple is an oasis of serenity like no other. Inside the temple, which is shaped like a giant lotus flower, are numerous marble benches, arranged underneath the inverse dome of the lotus. Along the interior walls, Baha'i scriptures are posted such as this quotation attributed to Baha'u'llah: "Don't busy yourself with this world because as fire is used to test gold, gold is used to test servants."
Did you know that Baha'u'llah was a world citizen?
"It is not for him to pride himself who loveth his own country, but rather for him who loveth the whole world. The earth is but one country and mankind its citizens."
-- Bahá'u'lláh |
