Wow!! Chobe was a fantastic and wonderful place. We saw between 25 and 30 lions, literally tons of elephants and hippos, et cetera, et cetera. My friend, Tammy, and I, took our kids (four in total, Robert, 12; Ryan, 11; Kara 9, Amy, 9). They loved it!
The best time to go to Botswana is their winter months of June, July and August -- weather is coolish during day, mosquitoes aren't as common (but we did still get bit), and the game concentrates near the river, because it is also the dry season

The lioness pictured here was our favorite and the first lion we saw. She is also the one pictured below stalking the hippo. Here, she had climbed a tree to look for her missing pride.
