A wonderful place, hopefully not to be completely ruined by its political problems. We went to Victoria Falls in July 2001 and despite the scary things we had heard before getting there, we never had any trouble.
My friend, Tammy and I, and our four kids went. Our husbands didn't want to go to Africa, so we went without them. We had only a few days to enjoy the wonderful sights of Zim, and we took advantage of every minute, visiting a local village and school; doing the stationary balloon ride; riding elephants; doing the booze cruise, bartering for gifts, and of course, seeing the falls.
