It was originally called Zama, which mean "Dawn" and is related to its location, which lies on the extreme eastern side of the Yucatan Peninsula, directly facing the sun.
I enjoyed the ruins. But because of the turism is not as peaceful and became very commercial.
I went to the ruins to see and feel and maybe be able to imagine the life of that civilization... I couldn't really imagine all this or feel it. There are not too much atmosphere .
Spend few hours over there it might be enough. It's not a big site.
The bluish color of the water is fantastic. You catch yourself thinking about the water and the civilization that lived there more than 450 years ago.
Enjoy the pictures!!!
