Italy is the place of my ancestry. My mother's side hails from Catanzaro, Calabria in the low South; My father's half are people of the North, coming from the mountains of the Veneto, Treviso. While they both came to Canada (my mom at 5, my dad at 19), they still hold on to the Italian roots very stongly, and they taught my 2 sisters and me to be very proud of who we are...the following pages document my coming face to face with what they have been talking about.
I've now been there on two seperate occasions and am looking foward to a third...during this coming school year, I will finally be taking Italian language so I can actually communicate!
