I won't bother you with a loooooong story of mails exchange but it turned out to be a great choice! its staff is really friendly and the environment very comfortable.
they have cable TV, free calls within Costa Rica and hot water (which is not so usual in CR) shower.
breakfast is included and you can have bread, preserves, fruit, cheese, boiled eggs, gallo pinto, tomales, fruit juices, coffee or tea.
a note: each room is different and has the name of something/someone famous, the one in the pic is the Steinbeck room.
it's not easy to say the price as of course a double always comes out ot be cheaper than a single and then I had got a special price for that long story I mentioned, anyway the average price for a double is around 50 US $, check the site for updated tarifs.

the name I mentioned isn't a "real" name and it means: furnished apartments but Donna Helena, the owner, must have a name at least in the area if you just need to make her name and give a small tip (500 colones = less than 2 dollars) to the man at the corner of the street guarding a covered parking to have also your car in the street kept watch all night...
and here the price seems to be 15 US $ per person so in two in a double room also if with an extra bed you pay 30 US $.
there were TV in the room, a bathroom in common but there was no other guest in that flat when I overnighted there and a furnished kitchen.
in the morning you have to ring Donna Helena's ring and you get: toasts, butter, jam, eggs your style, fruit juice, coffee and a chat, or at least I got also the last one...
