Corte. City of independence.

Corte. Chosen by the freedom fighter Pascal Paoli as the capital of Corsica in the brief period of its independence, Corte which is the natural boundary between Corsica of North and Corsica of South; reigns as a sentry from the top of its rocky peak, over the valleys where the Tavignano and the Restonica have cut from their torrents, gorges so beautiful that they are lassified as a ' big national place of interest'.
Take a walk up to the citadel and you'll have a great view over the surrounding valleys.

the vendetta-town

Sartène, beautifully situated in the mountains also known as the vendetta-town. It is better not to mingle in fights for fear of getting hurt. Around easter there's a procession in the city for people to repent there sins. One person has to carry a cross and an iron chain all through the town!
Sartène has lots of cosy, small streets. Just take a stroll and get the feeling of the place.

A boat tour from Bonifacio (South of Corsica). You can see Sardinia if the weather is nice.
The city on top of the rocks is really spectacular to view from the boat.
