I have visited Boston on a couple of occasions. My first visit was in September 1996. My old roommate from university was staying at an apartment hotel on business and invited me to check him out while he was here. I took up the invite. Unfortunately the weather was not very nice and I actually did not take many photos of the city. Just the same Boston had always intrigued me since then. I tend to explore cities more when I am on my own and did not get another opportunity to do so until July 2007. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Although the city does have some faults I found that it was a splendid city with lots of worthy attractions that that will please every member of the family. My biggest complaint was the cost. This is an expensive town, especially the hotels. However if you can afford it, Boston is a great destination for a family vacation. |

The library tip was wonderful. Terrific hotel tip. Have to agree with your tourist traps. Star-worthy pages, indeed. | traveldave Thu Aug 9, 2007 23:54 UTC I used to go to Boston a lot when I was a child, but I went back a few years ago and really explored the city. It is a great city, especially for its historical aspects. |
