I found Amsterdam to be, of all the cities that I have visited in Europe, my first choice as a city to habitat in. This is a city that seems to have everything. Great shopping, superb nightlife, and fantastic museums. It even has the best English speaking bookstore I have found so far in Continental Europe, "The American Book Center". Okay the weather is crappy but you really cannot have quite everything. When I toured Amsterdam, it did not rain a drop and the tempurature was from 20C to 23C the whole time I was there. It is a city that should offer few problems to tourists. Well finding a hotel room was a problem for me, it is an easy city to visit because of it's great transportation system and for the fact that most of the important sites are within easy walking distance from each other. I find myself truely looking foreward to another opportunity to visit this fascinating city. |

HORSCHECK Tue Mar 24, 2009 21:24 UTC Paul, fabulous page with brilliant photos of Amsterdam. It is great that you took the chance to see a match of Ajax. Well done. Can you believe that I have never been to Amsterdam, although it is only about 350 km from here. | sharontetly Sun Oct 12, 2008 21:52 UTC Paul, I enjoyed your photos of Rembrandt's house. Would you mind if I used them in my Art Appreciation class?
