Paul2001's Prague Page

Without doubt, Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. However it is also one of the most crowded and cities squares, attractions and touristy avenues are saturated with tourists. This makes Prague a frustrating city for the traveler who likes some peaceful moments during his wanderings. In Prague there will be few such moments. I had a second problem with Prague, that being that the actual attractions, such as the museums, are really rather ordinary. There are are a few exceptions such as the Castle and the Church of St. Nicholas but so unremarkable were some of the other sites I visited I concluded that as a city Prague was case were the sum was great than the parts. True, Prague is a feast for the eyes but there are little in the way of cultural or intellectual pursuits that would rank it amongst the greatest cities in the World. This is especially the case when you compare Prague to some of the cities in Europe of similar size.
This should not stop you from visiting Prague. There are few cities that are more beautiful in terms of architectual delights. Prague is home of some the most breathtaking baroque buildings in Europe. There are also many amazing Art Nouveau and Gothic monuments well worth taking in while in the city. Just remember that you probably not find much behind many of these facades that is all that remarkable.

Honest reflection on the museum. Thorough, insightful, informative, love the castles, Monastary, palace and gardens, Jewish Museum, and the over-all architecture. Your photos are stunning.
