    • I have traveled the world and so far I have never had more problems with mosquitos has I have had in the Yukon. Without some sort of repellent, I think that I would have found the whole experience quite unbearable.
    Well at the airport in Whitehorse I saw a t-shirt with the image of a giant mosquito attacking a person. Underneath was the caption "Come to the Yukon and Give Blood!" That says it all.

     Such great (RECENT) memories, visiting your page!! 2 things: I got there BEFORE the mosquitoes (late may), at least in Dawson/Whitehorse... Also, the Dawson ferry is FREE & very regular (never had to wait 1/2 an hour...) But it's also LOUD, esp. at night!
