| The Duomo - with the front covered |
This is a travelogue about the trip that my wife, Nikki, and I took to Italy (Milan and Venice) in the period from June 7th to June 14th 2003. We spent the first 3 nights in Milan and then we took the train to Venice - where we stayed for 4 nights before returning home to Norway (via Milan). This page will focus on our stay in Milan of course
For a few years we have been talking about going to a European destination again and we had planned on going to Spain in 2002 but we ended up in Thailand instead. But this year we wanted to take a 1-week vacation to a European city and lucky for us SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) had some great offers to different European cities and we decided to go to Italy. Our ticket cost us 1,250 Norwegian Kroner (about 150 Euros) each and that is really cheap compared to what I?m used to. So, why Italy? Well, we had not been there before and Venice is after all a classic destination :-) |

Nicuxx Sun Aug 28, 2005 01:50 UTC Milan a small city? You must be joking! | tpal Mon Aug 2, 2004 13:20 UTC We have a similar trip planned for October. Should be able to avoid the bugs by then I hope. Very helpful. Thank you for your very complete narratives...Tom | lichinga Thu Apr 22, 2004 11:57 UTC Are you sure they were "Italian" strawberries? Most probably they are coming from Southern Spain and quality is based on aptitude to travel/conservation rather than sweetness. It's a disaster! | Henkster Wed Apr 21, 2004 15:46 UTC great page on Milano! grazie! |
