At the time of the Roman Empire, the road from Aaken to Beauvais, crossed the Dijle river here.

I visited Leuven more than 20 yrs ago, it is a beautiful city.
You have so many pages on places in Belgium, I found it difficult to decide where to start, but think I made the right choice ;-)
'Biggest Beer Bar in the world' got me interested, but the architecture of the City Hall and Big Bequinage had be spellbound ... thanks for a great virtual tour Dannie.
