I had been to Heidelberg before, but my day trip there this past weekend had the effect of opening my eyes to the charms of this city. Walk along the Neckar, over the old stone bridge, through the impressive gate, and into a charming old town, complete with cobblestones, old buildings, and a myriad of cafes and restaurants. Hike up the hill to the castle and marvel at the spectacular view of the city. |
