train stations

amtrak and septa are the two trains that run into wilmington. Both stop at the same station on MLK blvd. and Front Street.

Septa makes another stop in Claymont Delaware which is North Wilmington.

They are across the street from the bus station where you can get the Greyhound or Peter Pan to go to other parts of Delaware or the country.

Inside of the train station are all of the rent a car companies.

Renting a Car

This is the most convenient way of getting around town. It is faster than taking the bus. Most times it is more economical than taking a taxi.

Note: All rent a car places close at 1pm on Saturdays, are not open on Sunday nor Holidays.

local buses

You can get around most of the city and surrounding suburbs through the local buses. They will even take you to Delaware City.
Its a great way to get to see the many neighborhoods around.

Buses run hourly on Sundays and stop running at 5pm
