This was my first trip to Africa and although I consider myself educated and non judgemental, I was shocked when I saw how beautiful the place was and how developed most of Cape Town is. Over in the west we are bombarded with constant negative images of Africa so it was somewhat pleasing to see the good side. Don't get me wrong there are still parts that are not attractive in Cape Town and Cape Town is just one city on a continent that has many cities. However, you plan your stay there you will find Cape Town to be fun and very enlightening. |

I enjoyed your tips very much. Particularly your racism comments. I was in Cape Town in 2004 but didn't go to many of the same places that you did. I really hope you took some pictures that you can show us. Thanks, Diane |
