(1254-1323) visited this city in 1280 and said "This is the most beautiful city of the world" - Or Heaven on earth !
Times are changing ! When he would visit this city today - he might change his opinion !
It lost a lot of his rich history

I visited this big country in september - maybe not the best season for green lovers - but oké - who knows - revisting is always possible now that China opened its borders !

Great page. The most famous highlight of Hangzhou is the West Lake. The "kettles" are urns where a devotee can burn offerings as prayers. It is like lighting candles in a church. Cheers, SL

For the gardens you have to go to Suzhou. But Hangzhou ist very nice, too!
