Monumental little city - with a great history

Zierikzee is a small city, located on the former island of Duiveland in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, and lies about 26 km southwest of Hellevoetsluis and 60 km from Vlissingen.
Zierikzee has a few of Dutch monumental landmarks, like the two mills, still active - "Den Haas - De Hoop"
The facade of the maritime museum, the narrow streets and cute houses gave me a first impression and made my day, although the time was limited, the town is encharming - but i will go back

Typical scénary in Zeeland

The land of water, canals and boating. Very interesting place to visit after a day of sailing in Bruinisse

Windmill "Den Haas"

After diner in Brasserie Maritime, i took the opportunity to picture the mill, by night

Lux, lovely start here. I was in Zierikzee about 25 years ago on a family holiday with my parents.

Delicious looking seafood and all hands to the sails!! It is hard to go wrong with a visit to a quaint seaside town. Nice job Luc!
