The beach

Ostend and it's promenade during autumn period - less tourists
a cloudy sky -wind and a little bit of sun - what else do you need??
This place will always remember me at the "Malecon" in Cuba/Havana
But the Malecon is more beautiful - different - harder - just love it !!
By the way - my most favorite city at the belgian coast is still "De Haan"

Special event in may 2002, but i revisited this Queen city at the Belgian coast in feb 2005.
Ostend is a nice beach resort, with it's Pier,Casino and cultural events.
The city doesn't offer much of architecture - but nevertheless it is a charming town grace to new political directions of the local mayor

Excellent page about a city with such interseting history. St-Paulus church looks very impressive and the replica of the "The Grand Turk" is like a real one! Thanks Luc for the virtual tour!
