Turnhout

Town of the producer of playing cards - exporting all over the world - located in the north east Antwerp Province.
About 40 km from Antwerp itself - direction Breda .Near Herentals and for the young people - near "Bobbejaanland" (20km)
Turnhout is worthwhile to visit - the narrow streets ! the castle - the Warande park.
I visited Turnhout because a good friend of me is living here. We visited Brasil a few years ago.
Remarkable place is the harbour area. The Dessel-Schoten Canal has something romantic.An old bridge and a café - called after the book of a famous flemish writer "De Loteling" -

You've actually made a mistake here, the photo here is from the 'Sint Victorinstituut' at the dukes castle. And the 'Heilig Grafinstituut' originally was a school for girls only, but nowadays it's a school for boys too.

I did not know that Turhhout was the world capital of playing cards ! Is there a museum ? The statue of the naîad is amazing I like it !

I recognized the court ! I once was in a travestite club here, but I think it is gone bankrupt, pity because it was nice. I still must have pics of it somewhere. p.s. the lady on the water is beautiful :-)
