This Tripoli Museum is amazing --- so many treasures...it's the Louvre of Libya...Norman :)
It has been a long time since I was in North Africa, so your Tripoli page brought back some distant memories. I was not aware that you were so terrified of "masseurs" ;))
More great photos of Libya. New building continues apace in Tripoli - the face of the city is changing rapidly. LEYLE
Really loved your photographs from the Tripoli Museum. As a big mythology fan, I always enjoy these statues. A fascinating page about a place I've never visited but heard about all my life.
One very important point about the Athar is that it actually has a menu, which means you do not end up with more food than you can eat and you can check your bill here against the menu. We found this the best restaurant partly for its brilliant location.
Fine photos! I never thought there would be such impressive works of art at the Tripoli Museum.
Arch of Marcus Aurelius and National Museum seem to be worth watching and visiting. Thanks Luc for the virtual tour which still lays far from Russian tourist tracks... Best regards from Moscow in our Orthodox Christmas Eve!
Sounds to be an interesting city to visit! I like the mosaics at the museum!
Luc, very interesting page with brilliant photos of an unusual place. Keep up the good work.
