Generation of the sixtees

by Luchonda - last update: May 28, 2006

The Revolution - La Revolucion

Ché's memorial
As a teenager in the sixtees - many of us had a poster hanging on the wall. A poster of "Ché"
Actually the most famous song of Carlos Puebla is named
"Hasta siempre"- for me the best interpretation by Soledad Bravo - a female Cuban singer.

Aprendimos a quererte
desde la histórica altura
donde el sol de tu bravura
le puso cerco a la muerte.
Aquí se queda la clara
la entrañable transparencia
de tu querida presencia
Comandante Che Guevara.
Tu mano gloriosa y fuerte
sobre la historia dispara
cuando todo Santa Clara
se despierta para verte.
Aquí se queda la clara
la entrañable transparencia
de tu querida presencia
Comandante Che Guevara.

Cons:"Very touristic"
In A Nutshell:"A must to visit - but not a top in Cuba"
