Paris s'éveille - weekend 18191106

by Luchonda - last update: Dec 22, 2006

City of lights

Paris scénary at Champs Elysee,Lido, Moulin Rouge
Paris should be a symphony of fascinating history (Napoléon), classic and contemporary architecture (Pantheon) and beautiful parks and gardens (Bois de Boulogne). It should also be a Mecca of culture, offering the best of french food, fine wines, jazz clubs, haute couture fashion, art galleries, museums (Picasso and Dali) and antique shopping.
"I'm looking forward to see if this is all true, coming weekend" A next city trip with my daughter Kim. And yes !!! We had a great time, my daughter, me and some friends
Sundown in Paris

Notre Dame

Invited to step upwards to a unique overview on central Paris City district on the Seine Islands, 422 steps in total, i died every step - haha- and was convinced that the local guide was cheating about this, but was recovering quickly whenever reaching the next platform and saw the overview on Paris, the weather conditions where just perfect, sundown and perfect light and rainy clouds,.....and my Camera Canon 300D..
Personal opinion : better climb on foot the Notre Dame stairs to have an overview on Paris than using the mechanical elevator of the Eiffel Tower
to have in fact the same result : an overview on Paris.
Another "watch yr step" experience: Le Sacré Coeur - climb up to this Paris Highlight and once there , notice that there is a furnicula or even special busses to get to this marvelous Montmartre place.

Montmartre

Strolling around on the highest level of Paris. Montmartre, Sacré Coeur, Place du Tertre, meeting street artists, promoting their capacities and your lovely personality to be put into a drawing - having a Guinness at the local Irish Pub, or even a belgian blond Leffe - a Cuban Libre.
Oh Paris - you are fascinating and so multicultural
Street art, get your face in two minutes on paper

Pros:"A wonderful Capital in Europe"
Cons:"The stress in the Metro, fast but dangerous"
In A Nutshell:"Paris is beautiful"
