Whale watching at Punto Ballena

The city of Puerto Madryn is located in the eastern region of the Province of Chubut on the Atlantic coast. It is 995 miles south from Buenos Aires, linked by Interstate 3. Puerto Madryn does not have a commercial airport, however, the nearest one is only 35 miles south, in Trelew city, with daily flights to Buenos Aires and Ushuaia.

Peninsula Valdes, gate to the Atlantic Ocean and famous for it's two "Golfos" where whales orcas and sea elephants are stranding as from juli till october for "reproduction" purposes
Golfo San José and golfo Nuevo, different in water temperature are the playgrounds for those animals.
Punta Ballena embarque or getting around in Puerto Martyn, by boat or zodiac to have a closer look at the sea animals. Only a few captains are allowed to do this sea trip because the know exactly the behaviour of the whales and the weather conditions.
The embarquement of the ship itself is already spectacular, the look at the whales, so close to the boat breathtaking
Make a reservation on time - price about 60 pesos (16 euros) - duration of the trip : 90 minutes

Punto Ballena

Not only whales, depending on the season you can find and enjoy the excistence of Killer Whales (Orca), penguins, delphins, sea lions and sea elephants
