"Curitiba - the green lung of SB" Curitiba by Luchonda
Curitiba Travel Guide: 187 reviews and 427 photos
Curitiba is the capital of the state Parana and pretends to be the best gouverned city in Brazil.
The previous mayor - an architect gave this city the actual look out !
This City in South Brasil is an example of "green policy".
- In the streets - every pedestrian has priority.
- More than 150km Bicycle roads are forseen
- The Mall is forbidden entrance for cars - except busses
- The famous "Flower road" in the center of Curitiba reminds me on "La Rambla in Barcelona".
- Income to Bus stations are unique and an example for many cities in the world.
- Approx. 50m2 green area is forseen per inhabitant.
(BTW The city counts about 1.3 mil.inhabitants!!)

Luc, you found yourself some cute looking boats in Curitiba (no Honda engines though)! I was reading about this city just last week but had not realized that you included it in your Brazilian adventures.
Nice page, Luc - are there any more pics coming up??? You know, I LOVE your pages!!
Luc; Thanks for your comments on my Curitiba page! Great photo you have of the bus tube and bus. Can't believe I didn't take a single photo of the incredible bus system; glad you captured it for us on your page.
have been on the trip to Paranagua? I guess..lovely Curitiba sure has made great inroads.
Nice pages, Always wanted to visit Curitiba, passed through it once on the way to Igacu, will defintely spend some time to explore it and the coast next time

a green policy, that's for me :-))) and I'm becoming boring to say how much I like your pics...
Nice start! I had read about this "green" city. They are very progressive in getting new ways!
