The Islands - entrance to paradise ! My experience in Phuket - Visit the islands and enjoy pure nature by visiting those paradises Book a trip on a local boat and enjoy the silence of nature - the noice of the wind and the cries of the apes Beyond the small entrance to the center of the rocks! But be sure to come back on time because the waterlevel is changing - so you will be not the first - blocked in the craters of the mountains Enjoy the relax athmosphere on a boat - get a local lunch - I enjoyed the fish and pineapples as dessert a lot ! I've been there in 1995 - it seems that the charm of this island changed into a negative way - too many tourists - overcrowded ! |
| | Phuket Islands Make a reservation - take a boat and stroll to the many islands around Phuket - a paradise to see and enjoy ! Islands to visit (about 80 of witch the most important : -Kho Phi Phi Islands -Similan Islands -Krabi -Ko Samui |
Phang Nga Bay Phang Nga Bay and the many limestone caves are another attraction in Phuket You will enjoy the fisherman looking for eggs in swallow nests high above the caves. Risky manoeuvers - climbing on bamboo scaffolds to catch the eggs. Seems to be of a big value for the chinese market !! | | |

evaanna Sat Feb 28, 2009 22:07 UTC Looks like a fantastic place, would love to paddle in the caves. Pity about the invasion of tourists. | Trekki Thu Oct 26, 2006 19:45 UTC Lovely, but I would be most probably like to visit the lesser known islands :-)) | JLBG Sat Apr 22, 2006 05:12 UTC Knowing what happened in Phuket last year, my eyes were caught by your mention "But be sure to come back on time because the waterlevel is changing". Indeed! | mrjemm Sat Jul 10, 2004 06:06 UTC I never went before a couple of years ago, and I can see the horror of the massive build up, but there are still good reasons to go there (namely the diving and Phang Nga for me), but you certainly must overlook the blight! Great pics Luc. |
