I took a 9 day holiday to Bali on my own in September 1999. It was my first holiday solo and I was fortunate enough to meet a lot of great people on this holiday - a mixture of other holiday-ers and locals.

I spent my first 5 days (out of 9) partying, shopping and lying on the beach. By this time I was over it and in vital need of organ transplants! On the 5th day I met 3 guys from Melbourne at the hostel I was staying in, and they introduced me and my new friend Danielle to 3 great local drivers in Bali - their names are Boby, Tony and Alex. They were 3 very honest fun and knowledgeable guys, and they made my trip to Bali so much more interesting and memorable. I spent time with them the last 4 days of my trip and over that time got to know them and learned a lot about the local culture and they opened my eyes to a lot of things.

On the last 2 days of my trip, Boby and Tony took Danielle and I on a 2 day tour of the Island. It was fantastic. Most of the info I will put on this page will outline the trip that we took together.
