<BASEFONT COLOR="0000CD"><B>Hi, welcome to my page on Venice ... I was in Venice for 3 days during the middle of June 2001. It was the first place I visited in Italy, and what an experience!
My expectations of Italy were very high, and Venice exceeded them! I fell in love with Venice and Italy as soon as I set foot on Italian soil (or rather, the concrete on the train platform!).
Did you know that Venice is built on 117 small islands, has some 150 water canals and more than 400 bridges? WOW. (according to Lonely Planet Publications, it does!!!)
