I travelled with Kodi up to Edinburgh as I have never been before and always wanted to. Many of my friends who had been said it was beautiful, they were so right. I fell in love with the city and will be visiting again. Edinburgh is full of old architecture, little alleyways called closes, friendly lively people and a lot of history and even some spooky going ons. Take time to do one of the ghost walks, as they are fun and informative. I just wish I had longer time to spend there. Though the fondest memory I have is of walking around Edinburgh with a five foot scottish claymore sword strapped to my back and getting some very funny looks off of people. I collect swords and just couldnt resist a claymore. You know how it is, you always like to bring some small momento of your visit back, I just tend to over do it a bit. In fact a funny story regarding the purchase of the sword happened. I was looking at many swords in Edinburgh but all of them were replicas made in spain and I was bitterly disappointed as I wanted a real one made in Scotland. So I thought who best to ask to find out where I could purchase the real thing, ah I know, I will ask a policeman. So I walked up to the nearest policeman and asked him "where I could buy a real Claymore with a real blade" and he told me. I must be the only person I know who asks a policeman where I can buy an offensive weapon!!!! and get an answer. |
