There are lots of pages about Kiev. It is interesting to look through all of them. But it is difficult to understand my devotion and love to this city from pictures and reading. Come and see yourself the beauty of my Kiev.

Kiev is the city with quite a long history. Our country had good times and bad times, peace and war, as any country in the world. Kiev was always a capital of the state, except period from 1918 till 1921 when the capital of the Ukrainian Soviet Republic was moved to Kharkov. Kiev was and IS a capital in all aspects - political, social, cultural, scientific, business etc. Novadays, Kiev is not too industrial. There are still some factories which are situated in the city, but according to the new law, all production should be moved out of the city in several years.

KIev is situated on the DNIPRO river. It is one of the biggest rivers of Europe. There are some beaches on the Dnipro (or DNEPR), but I do not recommend to swim in the river.
