Luggage And Bags: Bring whatever you like, but remember you have to carry it :-) Porters are a thing of the past, and Taxi drivers will only help you get luggage out of the taxi.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Best advice bring the most comfortable shoes you have, you will be doing a lot of walking . London is normaly cold in winter, warm in summer,so dress accordingly, but always, always have an umbrella, it has been known to rain on just one side of the street here and be sunny on the other.
Toiletries & Medical Supplies: You can buy everything you need in the UK , but make sure you have enough prescription drugs with you to last, if you do not belong to the EU the Medical costs are high and a lot of meds can't be bought over the counter, if you are not sure go to http://www.wellbeing.com/atp/ind ex.jsp they have a lot of info there.
Photo Equipment: The UK can deal with any of your Photographic needs it may be a little more expensive than the US and Canada though. Most chemists will supply batteries and shopsd like Dixons, Currey's, PCWorld will hold other photographic accessories.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: There are a few campsite on the outskirts of London, but you wont really need bug spray in London.
Miscellaneous: Just bring lots of money, London is expensive, but there is a lot you can do for free, as you can see the URL at the top of the page.
