A flat country full of water Botswana is mainly visited for its Natural Parks, specially Okavango and Chobe. The country is in the middle of the southern part of Africa. At the left, Namibia with its amazing deserts; at the right, Zimbabwe with the jungles and the waterfalls (Vic Falls). But Botswana is mainly flat and its parks are along the shores of the Okavango River and other water ways. |
| | Okavango Delta Okavango is the main attraction in Botswana. Is a rather peculiar Park, as it's all water, it's located at the west, in the delta of the Okavango River. This river doesn't end at the sea, as usual, but at the Kalahari desert, that literally swallows it, forming this rich delta full of life. Visitors must move by little wooden canoes, and water animals are kings here... |
Chobe Nat. Park Chobe Nat.Park is near the border of Zimbabwe, close to Victoria Falls. Most of its wildlife runs along the shores of the Ngwezumba River, though there are some elephants in the dry side too... | | |
