It reminds me, in a way, Venice with its wonderful buildings, quiet channels and most of all, the sense of being in other century that you get by walking through the streets. The Neva river is to SP what the Adriatic is to Venice. And the Karelia region outside the city is a wonderful place for weekend excursions. |
