Athens is a very special city for me.
I first visited Athens about 15 years ago. It was my first InterRail travel, coming from Italy. In the train from Patras a guy from a Hostel convinced us to go to sleep in the roof of his hostel. We were some 30 persons in sleeping-bags up there, facing the illuminated Acropolis. I didn't sleep much, but that was a night I'll always remember...
I've returned several times to Athens, and it has always been a magical city to me, though I realize it is chaotic, greyish and noisy... but I love her a lot!! |
|  | August 2002 In august I´ve been again to Greece. I've spent 3 days in Athens, 2 at the beginning and 1 on the way back. Not enough, but I've revisited my dear National Museum.
I've met some friends, and some who finally weren't.
I'll keep coming, Athens still has secrets to be unvealed.

| | My athenian ID Once I was in Athens and I realized that my passport had expired. I wanted to go to Turkey, so I got a new one at the spanish consulate. It was long long ago, as you can see in the pic.
This is one of the reasons why I've always felt a little athenian too... |
