Getting TO/AROUND: BUS FROM THE AIRPORT
There are mainly 2 'public' ways to get to the city center:
    - Train (S7) to Sudbahnhof, 3 euros.
    - Bus to City Air Terminal (Hilton Hotel), Westbahnhof and Sudbahnhof. 5,80 euros. 25 minutes.< BR>

    Getting TO/AROUND: U-BAHN
The subway/Metro lines in Viena are called U-Bahn. You'll easily recognise the stops by the round blue signal with a white U. U-Bahn is quite useful if you have a hotel outside the center or wanna visit Schonbrunn, or other outside place.
The only difficult thing once you have choosen the line (U1, U2, U3...) is to know which direction you are heading. There are signs in each platform indicating the next stops and the final destinations. There is also an electronic sign showing the final destination and time to next arrival.
If you are using a Vienna Card, you'll have to validate it just the first time. After that first time, you won'r have to show it, but keep it with you just in case an employee asks you for it.

These are long distance subway lines. You'll easily recognise the stops by the round blue signal with a white S. You can use them to go to the suburbs.
If you are using a Vienna Card (these trains are included in the price too), you'll have to validate it just the first time. After that first time, you won'r have to show it, but keep it with you just in case an employee asks you for it.

    Getting TO/AROUND: TRAMWAYS
There are many tramway lines in Vienna. They run along the middle of the main avenues, you'll find the stops looking for round signals as in the photo.
They are included in the Vienna Card. In the stops you'll find signs with the name of the stops and the following stops till the final destination. There are normally 2 cars, you can go in any of them. You can't buy the ticket inside the tramway, so buy it before, in a Tabak stall or U-Bahn station.
The 38 line takes you directly to Grinzig from the University.

    Getting TO/AROUND: VIENNA CARD
This transport card allows you 3 days of any public transport (Trams, Bus, U-Bahn, S-Bahn) in Vienna for 3 days for 15 euros. It will be useful if you are in a hotel far from the center or if you plan to visit many places in the suburbs. If you are planning to stay mainly inside the central rings, you better buy individual tickets, as you'd do most of your visits by feet.
You can buy the cards in Tourist Info, Tabaks and Hotels. You'll have discounts of about 1 euro in many museums (and in the bus to the airport) with the Vienna Card.

Hi Joaquin. Read your tip about the Prater. It's not the U3 that takes you to the station Praterstern. It's the U1.

Just browsed the vienna pages again --- the Hundertwasser haus really is a FANTASTIC experience, too bad they don't build flats like this haha, I'd move in immediately!!!! :)
