A medium size town

Braganza is a medium sized town in the north east corner of Portugal, very close to the spanish border. I was there on a daytrip from Zamora, where I was spending a Xmas Eve long weekend.
It is the biggest town in the area, and its city center has nice narrow white streets and a beautiful citadel with a great castle

We just stayed here a few hours, some time for shopping, lunch and an afternoon walk up to the castle. Though I could have done some more street walking and visit a few more churches, I didn't have the feeling of missing anything, so I think 1 day is enough to have a basic glimpse of this charming city.
