A little town near Madrid Mejorada del Campo is a little rural town near Madrid. Nothing outstanding if it wasn't for an unusual building you can find here: a whole cathedral built up by a single man! Yes, you read well, in the 1960s this simple man born in Mejorada decided to express his faith and dedication to God (he tried to become a monk before) by building a temple with his own bare hands. |  | Justo Gallego Martinez With no previous plans, with no institutional help, he began adding bricks and bricks to his utopic project and he is still working on it. All by himself, little by little, no hurry, this is a lifetime project. Everyday he goes to his church and keeps working in his masterpiece. |
Refused materials He uses everything he finds useful for his project, cans, rejected iron pieces, plastic tubes, wood pieces, old petrol drums, broken tiles...). Nevertheless, security and stability are carefully studied and pieces are not organised senseless.
