Sanabria area is located in the ZAMORA province, near the north east corner of Portugal. The main natural attraction there is the beautiful Sanabria Lake, but all the surroundings are very nice and the little town Puebla de Sanabria really deserves a visit. |
| | The town Puebla de Sanabria is a small typical castillian village, originally built on top of a rock around a deffensive castle, though the actual village has spread around the walls and outside the original rock. |
Medieval atmosphere The tiny historical center has a real medieval atmosphere with that magnificient castle and all those stone paved narrow streets. I was there in december, freezing cold, so there were not many tourists. This way you could walk alone along the streets and feel you were 700-800 years ago, walking around the castle... | | |
