Some people say that Fez is the nicest city in Morocco. For me is Marrakesh! Maybe the architecture and buildings is better in Fez, but Marrakesh is not only its red buildings and walls, Marrakesh is the soul of the desert, the gate of the beaches (Agadir, Essaouira), guardian of the Atlas snowy mountains... I think it resumes Morocco in just one place... I've been there 4 times... and wouldn't mind going back again!! I wrote a travel diary in this trip too, with watercolor drawings on it. |

stewarth99 Thu Jul 24, 2008 12:16 UTC Remember that the area of the palmeries is a flood plain. Every 70 years or so. So those expensive houses, hotels and golf courses will all be wiped out one day. Just pray for the residents and workers there at the time. Mozzies are fearsome in season. | xuessium Sat Dec 22, 2007 16:21 UTC Wonderful map and tips for "A Day @ Djema El Fnaa". Just what I'm looking for. Cheers! | oceania26 Fri Aug 17, 2007 19:29 UTC Good tips for bargaining...that's what I usually and it works well :-) | angiebabe Sat Jul 7, 2007 22:45 UTC totally agree! i love marrakech miles ahead of Fez - of course its all rather great - but Marrakech... and your pages are a great look-see too thanks!Zagoras a long way from Marrakech though....! |
