Ouarzazate is a good basecamp to explore 2 of the nicest valleys in Morocco: The Draa Valleys (to the south, towards Zagora) and the Kasbah Valley (to the east, towards Erfoud). Besides, the city has a wonderful kasbah that can be visited inside and is very near of the cinema-famous kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. |
| | A nice trip from Marrakesh Although Ouarzazate has airport, most of the visitors come from Marrakesh, and use it as a basecamp to explore nearby areas |

Especially in the watercolour picture. | suvanki Mon May 8, 2006 22:26 UTC Hi, Thanks for your useful tips. I'm due to start an 8 day tour here, and I think I'm starting at La Palmeraie, it looks like a good place to stay! Best Wishes, Sue. | Sharrie Thu Sep 30, 2004 08:56 UTC I'm thinking of going to the Sahara & this is on the way. Taking a peep... just wondering what it's like... |
