Kiwi Bakery Kiwi Bakery Review

I found this bakery just passing by. It smelt so good that I had to enter end have something there. It is owned by some people who went to New Zealand to work there and, as they returned, they founded this place.
I had a milk shake, banana pancake and cinammon muffins... :-)

Rice in a market - Phnom Penh

Rice in a market

Eat/drink like the locals: Rice Eat/drink like the locals Review

Rice is a fundamental food in all these countries. Is like bread for us in Europe. We eat it in every meal.
It's cheap and filling, healthy and everybody likes it.
If you go to a market, you will find many kinds of rice, many more than those you can find at home.
But when you order in a restaurant, there is only a "plain rice" dish... maybe the others are for gourmets...

Some local food - Phnom Penh

Some local food

Eat/drink like the locals: Eat at local stalls Eat/drink like the locals Review

You will find here many street stalls with a wide variety of local food. Don't ask me what exactly did I eat, as I couldn't answer that, but I survived, and I must say it was delicious and probablu much healthier than the rubbish we eat in the wester world.
Besides, it's really cheap. I never spent more than 2 USD, including the Angkor Beer!!

The lizard is a real one... - Phnom Penh

The lizard is a real one...

Amok Cafe & restaurant Amok Cafe Review

I found this place by chance, asking in my guesthouse for a place to dine. They told me where to find it, but the alley where it is located is not very appealling, so lonely and dark. So once there I had to ask someone in the street to reconfirm that was the place...
But at the end it ended up to be a very nice garden terrace place with superb service and live local music.
They have rooms to let also, in the upper floors.

Favorite Dish: Fish curry in a banana leaf or coconut shell, called AMOK, from which the restaurant takes its name.

Address: No. 2 Street 278
