We were truly impressed by the amazing gold mosaics that cover the whole ceiling with scenes from Bible. We paid the extra fee to go upstairs to see the restored original bronze horses and get a great view of Plaza San Marco.

This was truly a must-see stop in Venice. The big hall and walking across the Bridge of Sighs to the dungeons were the high points.

This bridge is one of the most famous bridges. It connects the Doges Palace to the dungeons. You cross this bridge when you take the Palace tour.

There is so much to see here (besides the birds!) including the Clock Tower, the Bell Tower, the Basillica, the Doges Palace. And it is a great place to people watch.
