Getting the 2008 Olympics is a big event for China and there were signs everywhere letting people know Beijing will be the host city.
This sign was in front of the Beijing Oriental Plaza. This building complex consists of 8 office buildings, a 600-room 5-Star hotel, 1,000 apartments and 100,000 sq-meter shopping center. It is the flagship enterprise for Hong Kong billionaire, Li Ka-shing. |
| | The hotel we stayed in was the site ofr the Beijing Olypmic Organizing Committee. Beijing was just awarded the 2008 Olympic Host City. Seemed like all the locals were quite proud of this accomplishment. |
Forbidden City This is definitely a Must-See when in Beijing, along with the Great Wall. | | |
