I was here on a backpacking trip, May 24th to May 27th, 2002.
The trip began at Kaiser Pass Road above Huntington Lake, at an elevation of 7840 feet. The trail winds through the forest, crossing over several streams for two (2) miles up to Potter Pass, elevation 8900 feet
We then dropped down the slope toward Round Meadow. Here we encountered fresh snow on this north facing slope. It appears we are the first group this season to trek through this area as we made fresh tracks in the snow.
The trail climbed back up to Lower Twin Lake, then on to Upper Twin Lake, at an elevation of 8600 feet. |
