Pachia Ammos beach

"Pachia Ammos" means "Thick Sand". This is the best sandy beach of Samothraki island. Not enough shadow on the beach, bring your own umbrellas. There is a cool fish-tavern-restaurant with big trees and shadow at the west side of the beach.

Panaghia Krimniotissa

This is the country-chapel of Panayia Krimniotissa, a cult place for the locals, offering a breathtaking view of Pachia Ammos beach.
Maybe you have seen this chapel and the scenic view on the Greek movie "The heroes of Samothraki".

Address: On the mountain slopes, facing Pachia Ammos beach

Directions: Driving from Lakkoma to Pachia Ammos, you will find a dirt road on the left leading to the church. Don't go there if your car is very low, you need a jeep type car or a small farmers' truck.
