Bologna is for sure one of the cities I love more in Italy, as it hosts one of the mosy important and old university in Italy, it's always full of life, it is definitly a great young and alive city.The centre is marvelous, full of great shops if you look for them and full of art if you want to join it.This page and its photos were taken during a vt meeting in september 2001, I was joining vt for a few months and did not know many people yet, it was the best chance to meet new friends and to revisit Bologna.
- Pros:Young, full of culture, alive

Ciao-we went to Croatia this year instead of lovely Italy. The Italiano influence is definitely on that side of the Adriatic, and Diocletian palace is fantastic. You did a nice job of discussing Bologna's sites.
Glad to hear that lots of people use bicycles in Bologna, and that they have good public transport and train service. When I was in Milan last year they were building a new high-speed rail line from there to Bologna. I think it must be finished by now.

It's a lovely city and the tower is magnificent. I only looked at it from the bottom, never climbed the 498 steps ;-/
The views from Asinello tower look like they are worth the climb up all of those steps! Beautiful photos! You've had some wonderful VT meetings!
If I only knew about the Asinello tower before going to Bologna... I missed it.... and the mermaid on Neptuno's fountain... THIS IS A COOL FOUNTAIN!!! :-)
