In my opinion the best way to go around Cienfuegos is walking as in this way you enjoy every corner and every street scene.
Anyway places like Punta Gorda can be a very long walk, so you may try to get a taxi which can be difficult as there are not many here or, if you get offered you can go by the horse chart.Horse charts are meant to be used only by cubans, but exceptions are not that rare.We came back from Punta Gorda with a chart and enjoyed it even if it turned to be more expensive than the taxi.

Bus (Viazul) Bus Review

From L'Havana we came to Cienfuegos by viazul bus.
There are two main bus companies in Cuba Viazul and astro, the second one is the cheaper and mainly used by locals, Viazul is more expensive and practically created for tourists.The trip was about 6 hours and the ticket was 20 cuc.
