Genki Sushi: Cheap and good sushi
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Genki Sushi

This restaurant is in a new area of Kuala Lumpur, the mall itself where the restaurant is, is not completely opened yet.
I found sushi really good and even better the value, infact, I do not know if it is because it's new, but it was really cheap.
We paid about 5 euros per person.

Favorite Dish: The fried soft prawns were delicious. This was the first time I tried wasabi and it was a great surprise as I usually cannot eat spicy food but it doesnt burn in the mouth, just open your nose let's say it's a sort of strong mint.

Pelita Nasi Kandar: Spicy but good
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Pelita Nasi Kandar

This is a sort of food court, in the sense that you can see what they cook and then choose.
It's an indian-muslim restaurant in the heart of Kuala Lumpur centre, the only pity is that most of dishes are very very spicy which is hell for my stomach.
The restaurant is very simple and not formal, did not see also tourists around which is great!

Favorite Dish: My favourite dish has been Briyani chicken as it was the only not spicy dish i found!

It's an elegant restaurant inside the Nikko hotel.
You can dim sum only at lunch and it has been the best dim sum I have ever had, other good thing is that they have a smoking area!
    It's open on: Lunch: M-Sa noon-2.30p; Su 9a-2.30p. Dinner: M-Sa 6.30p-10.30p
For istructions on how to use their toilet, please check my warning and danger tip.

    De Foodland Seafood: Seafood
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: De Foodland Seafood

This restaurant is not centrally located in Kuala Lumpur and it is absolutely not touristic.
I had the chance to go as my friends, knowing my passion for seafood, took me there.
Their menu is huge and the fish is cooked without many sauces and spices which is excellent for my tastes.

Favorite Dish: Crabs, they have crabs cooked in 31 different styles!

Kedai Kopi Mee Bon: Dim Sum
  • Tip Rating:
  • Satisfaction:
  • Restaurant Name: Kedai Kopi Mee Bon

This is a simple street restaurant. The quality of the food is good and here you can have dim sum also at dinner.
The nice thing of this place is that the waiter comes to you with a huge plate with all their dim sum pieces and so you can chose what to eat without having to interpret the menu, the offert is really wide and, if you ask they tell you what you are chosing, but you know, sometime, it's just better not to know what you are eating as long as it tastes good !

Great page on KL. Female drivers only...interesting, have not seen that yet. In Alor Setar, Kedah, the public swimming pool is for females only on Wednesday!

Liked your tip on Indian marriages. In my pages I have added two personal albums on my marriage. You can check that out. I am sure you will like that too.

Now I see where your member-photo was taken, at the Indian wedding in KL. Do they have arranged marriages there, or do people decide themselves who they are going to marry? (I know someone who says arranged marriages work better, not sure I agree though.)
